Are you tired of the hustle and bustle of the city and just want a quiet place to get away from it all?
Come and travel the Talbot Trail (formerly #3 hwy) in Ontario, Canada.
The trail starts at Windsor, Ontario right across from Detroit. It then follows Lake Erie, at some places so close that you can actually see the shore, all the way to Niagra Falls. The present road follows the path of the first road built by Colonel Talbot. The Talbot Trail was completed by the end of 1820's and this corduroy road stretched nearly three hundred miles.

Along the way you can see all kinds of farming from greenhouses to market gardens. There are historical sites, marinas, numerous beaches, lots of golf courses and all kinds of other attractions. There is always something to do or see all along the way.

You can go swimming, fishing, boating, golfing, horseback riding, bird watching, or just sit on the beach and enjoy the sun. You will never find anything to surpass the taste of the fresh fruits and vegetables that are picked daily at the many produce stands along the way.

So come and relax, follow the trail, enjoy the scenery. You can make it a day trip or plan to stay overnight in one of the many motels or bed and breakfast places, or you can bring your gear and camp in one of the many campsites along the lake.
